8th ELTA IATEFL Conference |
|
|
|
ELTA, English Language Teachers' Association is delighted to announce that the next year's Conference, the eight in the highly successful series of ELTA gatherings, will take place in Belgrade, hotel Continental, from May 7-9, 2010. The Conference will bear the title:
Technology mediated education - necessity or luxury? ELTA is honoured to announce that the keynote speakers will be Herbert Puchta and Gavin Dudeney.
Technology has become an integral component of our life. It is hard to imagine a segment of our everyday life that is not linked with technology in one way or another. It goes without saying how quickly technology has found its way into education. There is barely a teacher who does not use it or who does not ask students to rely on it for their learning. What would education be like without technology? Is there any area of education in which technology should not be used? When do we and our students have enough of technology? If you have experimented in this field, if you have an answer to any questions related to technology, if you have managed to “humanise” technology in the classroom, or if you simply want to hear what others have to say regarding this issue, feel welcome to the 8th ELTA IATEFL Conference.
If you are interested in presenting at the Conference, please apply by 10 March 2010 by completing the Speaker Proposal Form.
ELTA Conference is supported by the Ministry of Education and can be found in the ZUOV Catalogue for professional development 2009/2010.
ELTA invites you to join thousands of your colleagues!

The VII Annual ELTA IATEFL Conference went by, the first time in Novi Sad and the first time with EGIDA International. But, as most of you already know, ELTA Conference is staying in Novi Sad and EGIDA also stays with ELTA. EGIDA`s impressions from the conference are extraordinary, so many colleges discussed the one subject – education. As this is our main objective, we found ourselves in a very pleasant company, among all of you. We made a lot of new contacts, greeted some of our old partners…

The conference organizers would like to thank all those of you who attended “Devise, wit; write, pen... and gather the harvest of knowledge”, the seventh annual ELTA Conference at Master centre, Novi Sad. We wish to thank the speakers who presented their work at the conference. We also wish to thank all those who participated throughout the three days of the conference. In particular, we were delighted to see other scholars and colleagues, and young students engaging in the debates and questions over the three days. We owe a special thank you to all our sponsors whose generosity made the conference possible. It is the support of academic institutions and local staff that make such conferences possible.
